With great pleasure, I create unique wooden furniture: handcrafted, with my own designs, and an eye for detail. From that same love for materials and form, kaleBal was born — a new furniture line where that combines my passion for design with a generous dose of playfulness.
Used tennis balls get a second life as one-of-a-kind poufs. Instead of ending up in the trash, the balls are carefully selected, processed, and handcrafted into comfortable, cheerful seating objects. Each piece is unique, every detail thoughtfully considered. This is how originality, craftsmanship, and upcycling come together in a circular collection, entirely handmade in Antwerp.

A kaleBal is entirely constructed from carefully selected, upcycled tennis balls that are firmly connected to form a stable and resilient block.

The Process
Tennis clubs and academies across Flanders collect the used balls from their courts and training sessions. We pick them up, carefully sort them by type, kind and colour. When needed, we wash them using eco-friendly, biological detergent at our facility, giving these balls a new purpose .
Of course, you can also supply your own used tennis balls.
Thanks to the upcycled tennis balls, each pouf is literally unique: no two patterns or colour gradients are the same. The looks range from classic yellow-green to combinations with logos, subtle colour shading, and delicate signs of use that add character. You can choose a calm, almost uniform-looking pouf or a playful, colourful piece that immediately catches the eye.
Every kaleBal effortlessly fits into modern interiors, creative offices, sporty canteens, and cosy play areas. For special requests regarding size, colour selection, or application, customization is possible, ensuring each pouf perfectly matches the space and intended use.
Placing them outside? Be aware that they will gather dust and rain, which may lead to moss growth over time and that they have many hard-to-reach spots.
